Currently, June

I need a little background noise in my day, so I tend to turn on the country music station on the TV.  Every once in awhile, both of my kids will stop playing to dance.

In the Pacific NW, our weather has a mind of its own.  We had some incredibly sunny, warm days last week.  That meant we had a lot of outdoor time.  Unfortunately, the sunscreen that worked last summer for my daughter has now caused her to break out....twice!  Ugh!!!  I'm happy for a few cooler days to let her skin calm down while we test out new sunscreen.

My mom recommended this book to me.  It was a free Kindle download, so I thought, why not?  I don't know if it was my Mommy Brain or a head cold, but I DID NOT see several of the plot twists headed my way.  This meant it was a page turner!

I need clarity.  There's a big cloud hanging over my head about what will happen during the next school year and I wish there was a big arrow in the sky pointing me in the right direction.

My son will be ONE this month.  That means I need to get my ducks in a row and get his birthday party planned!

This summer we don't have a lot planned.  I will be taking the kids to visit family and one of our adventures will be going to Silverwood (amusement/water park) in Idaho.  Once my son is one, he can finally go on an overnight adventure to my in-laws with my daughter.  Other than that, I will have a ton of design decisions to make for our new home, which will be finished (fingers crossed) this fall.

What are you up to this month?  Head over to Farley's blog to check out the linky!  Farley has also set up a way to help the Wimberley Adoption Group and Rescue.  There are many animals who are being housed there during the flood.  If you can help, head on over!

Oh I'm going to have to look up that book!

I have a student this year named Storie and I had never seen it before (I have known her since she was a 1st grader because I was intrigued by her name). It's super fun that I found someone else with the name too.

How funny: I worked at Silverwood one summer MANY years ago when I stayed with my eldest sister, during college break. What a small world! Have fun! Carol's Teaching Garden
